A Bit About Us

Smashing Mirrors Theatre is one of the UK's only dementia-awareness theatre companies.

Established in 2017, Smashing Mirrors is an East Yorkshire-based theatre company that is committed to creating dementia-awareness work and dementia-friendly theatre.

The company has been recipients of funding from Arts Council England, Hull City Council, The Smile Foundation, Beverley Building Society and Greggs amongst others. Previous work includes dementia-awareness musical "Three Emos", community dementia-awareness project "The Memory Project" and local historical productions.

The company has worked with 'Butterflies Memory Loss Support Group' to become a Dementia-Friendly organisation, and all staff are trained to be dementia friends.

Smashing Mirrors employs a variety of creatives, if you are interested in working with us, please contact us through our online form.
